Systematik der Arthroleptinae

Die Unterfamilie Arthroleptinae [MIVART, 1869]

Arthroleptinae ist eine von drei Unterfamilien der Familie Arthroleptidae (Langfingerfrösche). Für den deutschen Namen "Langfingerfrösche" ist der dritte Finger verantwortlich, der bei einigen Arten zweimal bis dreimal länger ist als die übrigen Finger. Zur Unterfamilie gehören zwei Gattungen mit insgesamt 68 Arten. Die größte Gruppe ist die namensgebende Gattung Arthroleptis mit 50 Arten. Alle Arten der Unterfamilie leben in Afrika südlich der Sahara.
